Perfectly Perfect

It all began when God created the world. God said, let there be light - and then appeared the sun, the moon and the stars. And God said let there be living things - and then there were birds in the air, animals run in the forest and men walked the earth. Then God said, let there be perfection - then there were bolts of lightning, roars of thunders and earthquake shook the land - Then I was born.

Yes, I am perfect and I will tell you why...
I - I is for Introvert. Yes, there are times that I am shy around new people, but I realised that most of the time, my energy is being drained when I am around other people. Therefore, I tend to go somewhere quiet and alone to recharge my batteries. Perfect!
M - M is for Married. I have been married for 9 years and still going stronger. When people ask me what makes my marriage last longer, I tell them... My husband and I take the time to go out twice a week - a little bit of candlelight dinner, soft music and dancing.  He goes on Tuesdays and I go on Fridays. :) Perfect!
P- P is for Personal Assistant. I love my boss and I love my work as a Personal Assistant. Everyday there is something new to discover, to investigate and to solve. My work has satisfied my neurotic tendencies to investigate and solve problems. Perfect!
E- E is for Embracing reality. At this stage of my life, I am learning to see and accept reality as it is and not what I want it to be. I am learning to see and accept people for who they are and not what I want them to be. Some people may call it lunacy, but there is a constant battle inside my head between reality and expectation (what is and what should be). Still, it is perfect!
R- R is for Renewal.  Everyday I am learning - from my job, from my friends and family, from accepting the commitments of life, from playing the role that life handed us, from suffering, from loving, from growing older and by taking risk. For me, life experience is the greatest teacher of all. Perfect!

F- F is for Family and Friends. For me, family is one thing that I cannot live without, yet there are times, I cannot live with. Family is a gift from God and a friend is a gift you give yourself. Perfect!
E- E is for Education. My grandfather used to say “People can take anything from you, but they can never take your education from you.” This is the reason why I am taking the course Graduate Certificate of Executive Administration. An investment that will serve me for years. Perfect!
C- is for Coffee and Chocolates. When everything is in chaos, one sip of coffee and one bite of chocolate makes the world a better place to live in again. Perfect!

T - is for Toastmasters. I was a member of a Toastmasters Club for 5 years and it changed my life forever. The Toastmasters Club  gave me the opportunity to face my biggest fear - speaking in public. Although, I still get butterflies in my stomach every time I speak in front of an audience, yet I have learned to make those butterflies fly in formation. Practice makes perfect!

At 34, I know that there are a lot of things that I need to learn from life, as rule, I may need to pick up some mileage and some dents on my fenders before I fully understand. But for now, I am taking things slowly and accepting the person that I am...  I am IMPERFECT!
